Went here the other day for a coffee and I can highly recommend it! I didn't get anything else, but all the food and treats looked tasty as - and price appear to be very reasonable.

One of those rare finds you come across now and again....if you're lucky. You can immediately see why it has a strong local following. Great coffee. Very good food. Friendly genuine service. Was visiting the area for a few days, and after the first coffee and roll, had to come back each day. Highly recommend.

Finally got the opportunity to try this coffee cart. Slice was a generous size and the jumbo cappuccino was superb, not over milky nor did the coffee taste burnt. A+ Very well priced. Fantastic set up if you want to stay and have a break. Very friendly staff with great conversations. Highly recommend for every 1.

I've been in New Zealand for four months. I've already traveled extensively across both islands, and this is the only bakery/cafe that sells real bread and really good pastries. I've never found a better place. I was blown away. Thank you so much. Everything homemade, wow. And, you can sleep in a van at the freecamp right across the street and wake up to a real selection of breakfasts.

This lovely little coffee place was suggested to me by my host. So glad I made the trip down, was greeted warmly which is always nice. l Lovely service. I think the prices are fair, the coffee and doughnuts were delicious. There are public bathrooms opposite and tables and chairs set up also.

A Hidden Gem in Welcome Bay! Pippy’s Pantry is more than just a coffee stop—it’s a warm hug in the form of a café. Nestled at Waipuna Park, this charming container café offers not only incredible coffee and mouthwatering home baking, but also a genuine sense of community. Matt, Nicole and team, the heart and soul behind the counter, make every visit feel like catching up with old friends. Whether you're grabbing a flaky almond croissant after a morning dog walk, sipping a matcha latte post-yoga, grabbing a treat with your kids after Saturday football, there’s something here for everyone. The food is fresh, flavourful, and made with love—especially the legendary Pork & Apple Sausage Roll and jalapeño cheese scones. Our favourites are sticky lemon slice, and classic brownie, along with a superb coffee or hot chocolate. The vibe? Unpretentious, welcoming, and full of life. Friendly pups, happy chatter, and sunshine on your back—Pippy’s is the kind of place that reminds you what community feels like. Highly recommend detouring for a visit. Your taste buds and your soul will thank you. I personally want to thank the Team for making me/us smile every visit. Ty.
